Picking the right essay topic is not that easy – academically speaking. I love writing essay once in a while. It allows me to unload some thoughts that are stuck on my mind. It helps me unload my creative juices as well. But that doesn't go at all times. Most of the time, I find myself speechless. I mean, you know, sort of always having a writer's block.

Anyway, as I was saying, choosing the right topic is very important especially if you are after a certain group of people. I mean, your target readers are say for example, the young generation. You have to consider some things. Like for example, what are the usual stuff these kids love to do? What interests them most? Where do they love to go? Those things.

As what I have said earlier, I love writing. With that, I came to know or should I say I learned some things that would help you come up with a concrete, the best essay topic that would make your piece very readable, very interesting. Here it goes:

First, like what I have mentioned earlier, consider your target readers. Study their hobbies and interests. From there, you'll get an idea or ideas on what would catch their attention and well, basically make them read your piece.

Second, look around you. The things, the scenes, the happenings around you could be a good source of topic. You could talk about how odd a certain thing is, or how helpful a certain invention is to you. Something like that.

Third, talk to people. Believe me, you'll get a lot of ideas from them. Might as well, make them the center topic. I mean, the main character in the essay piece you are making. Even a simple and ordinary person could be a good topic for an essay. That makes you unique anyway, and besides talking about well-known people is so old-school already.

Lastly, read books, magazines, and other reading materials available. When you are really desperate and you still couldn't figure out the perfect topic you'd want to write about, then I guess it's time for you to consider going back to the basic, which is reading.

The things mentioned are actually just some of the possible ways to be able to come up with the right essay topic. Actually, you just have to be creative with your ideas. That'll make a big impact and might as well really gain interest among your readers.
