Hey crazy chic ,I'm heading out with Bryan" says her mother . Layla steps back and sighs .

"Look honey if you don't want me to go I'll........""NO, I mean I want you to be happy". "OK, bye, I'll back at eleven". [Incase your wondering Bryan is this dude substituting as Layla's mother's "so called boyfriend". Her parents are divorced and she's not over the fact that, her dad wasn't good enough for her mom.]" Party people in the house" Kimoi says as she walks through the door and the other girls follow. Lela screams as her best friends Kimoi, Cassie, and Trish step into her room.

"Waz up home girl", Cassie says" I brought my famous guacamole chips and dip. Now you are ready to par-tay."

They all sit down ,party up and chow down again. See every other weekend one of them throws a party and this time it was Lela's turn."ooh-ah-chicka-chicka-ah-wah-walla-bing-wally-bingy-bang-bang"sings Trish." You broke my heart ,You broke my heart ,You broke my heart ."they all sing." That should win a couple Grammy's". said Kimoi as she turns to another station. "apple bottom jeans [jeans] boots with fur [with the fur]" "Woo that came on lil' too loud. I'll turn it down.

"Ok, ladies the theme of this party is: Secrets. So at the end of the night we'll write down our secrets put them in a bowl an read em' in the morning." Lela exclaimed. All the girls shook their heads in agreement. Soon after all the dance moves were made, the makeovers were done, the quizzes were taken, and boys were rated; they wrote down their secrets and slowly went to bed.

The next morning the girls woke up and got ready to reveal their secrets. "Aiight girls lets read the forbidden secrets" Kimoi replied. The first one read: Kimoi

The second one says: Trish

I don't have my period yet.

The third one read: Lela

I'm moving in with my dad without my mom's consent.

The fourth one said: Cassie, I have to move.

"Wait , Cassie why do you have to move? Where are you moving? Since when were you moving? WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!!!!!" Trish complains." I can't tell you, it's complicated. I'm sorry." says Cass. "And you, why didn't you tell us this before hand" screams Trisha. "I'm sorry ,it never came up. "Lela replies. As an awkward silence speeded through the sunlit room, the girls got ready to go to school.

"Alright gang , let's go." says Lela's mom. The girls quickly jog down the spiral steps and into the front room. "Trish, please don't be mad at us some things we just can't say ,you know how it is". replies Cass. "I'm sorry, but I don't know. I'm your best friend . You should have told me, anyway. I would have told you. "says Trish. "NO, you wouldn't ,not when your in a predicament like ours. And you do know why I'm moving with my dad it's because I hate my mom's boyfriend. Yeah and so what if I'm moving maybe I'm moving near to you guys; but you didn't ask you just attacked us like we've been keeping secrets for years." Lela and Cassie scream. "Oh, well I'm sorry, but give more details next time." "Maybe."

The girls hopped into the car and drove into the CHARLES LOWRY MIDDLE SCHOOL parking lot, said their goodbyes and slowly walked to their lockers." So Cassie why are you moving ?"asks Lela. "Mmmmh, promise not to tell" asks Cassie. Lela puts out her and they do their secret handshake. She leans in and whispers "My dad is hurting my mom so we have to leave , but we've been looking for a place near your dad's area so I guess it's okay." She cracks her lock combo and pulls out all her 1-3 period books so does Lela. "I'm so sorry .Is there any other way I could help" Lela whispers. "No, thanks for the effort. At least you care" Cassie cackles and turns to go to their fist class.

Around 2:35 ish' the girls head up at their usual lunch spot but they notice something unusual. Kimoi was flirting with Cassidy Gamboges. {Incase your wondering Cassidy is this new kid at school that Kimoi thinks is HOT! She always gets all quiet around him , but not today.} Soon Kimoi come s running towards them like they were a Macy's sale and says "He asked me out . To the movies and an after party at Wally World Skates. He's taking me to the biggest skating rink in Ohio next Friday ." "Whoopee ,Kimoi" squeals Cass." Get your skate on" Trish replies. "Now what am I going to wear . Well I'll figure it out at my sleep over on Saturday." says Kimoi. The week went on and Cass got quieter and quieter. The girls didn't care to ask , but Lela knew. She knew she was moving to the apartment next to her dad's ;she knew why she was moving, but what she didn't know is how she really felt about the situation. Saturday arrived and all the girls went to Kino's house as planned to pick out her out her outfit for her first date with Cassidy .

"Ok ,gals . What should I wear. My green/pink polo with my white jeans; or my purple tank with my black Bermudas; or my brown/yellow cami with my khaki slacks." replies Kimoi. The girls were just about to answer ,but the phone rang." Hello may I speak to Kimoi Templar." the voice replies. "Speaking, may I ask who this is" Kimoi squeals. "Um, this is Cassidy. I was just calling to say that I ‘m going to bring a couple friends. If you want you can bring some too; cause they want dates too." "Uh.......... sure how many" "3 exact" "O.K." "see you at school . " What did Cassidy say" Trish squeals. "He says that he's bringing friends and they want dates; so you guys can come. I mean how perfect is this". says Kimoi "Very perfect, this so much better than watching horror movies with mom" say Trish.

"Aye-aye-aye-aye now what are we going to wear" says Lela as the girls giggle. In the middle of the laughter, Trish let out a loud snort;

and the girls started laughing even harder. Lela looked and saw Cassie laughing .That was the fist time is a long time she saw her laugh so happily. Cassie turned to Kimoi and said " You should you wear your brown and blue camisole and your black Bermudas.

All we have to do figure out what you guys are going to wear." Kimoi said as she pointed to the rest of the girls. "I know what I am going to wear. My green kimono with black slacks.", Lela protested. "Can we call him and ask him what the boys look like and stuff. You know forget I it will be a surprise date." The girls spent the whole night thinking about how the boys looked and new names for their group. Their new name is K~ T~ L~ C . It's all of their names combined; cool huh. When all the girls fell asleep Cassie got up to talk to Lela and the conversation went like this" when are you moving" "Monday" "cool were moving on the same day" " apt. # 589" "great just up above me" They went on and on. The week passed and ,the girls were pumped ,and ready to go on their assigned date.

The girls confidently walked up to the boys with smiles on their faces. Of course Kimoi was with Cassidy . He was tall, smooth medium cut hair, perfect brown skin, with green eyes. Trish was with Sylvan . He was also tall with perfect light brown skin. He had sandy colored hair with brown eyes. Lela had Lance. He had pale brown skin. He had blue eyes and was athletic, but not as tall. He was tall enough for Cassie laughing .That was the fist time is a long time she saw her laugh so happily. Cassie turned to Kimoi and said " You should you though. Last but not ugly was Cassie and Trent . He was Sylvan's infernal twin.

After they introduced themselves ,they bought the tickets and went inside.
