My Life (poetry style)
When I was younger,
My life was pretty crazy.
My sister was more of a mom,
And the rest is kind of hazy.
My mom tried to kill us,
My big sisters and I,
If the car had actually started,
I know we would all have died.
Car parked in the garage.
All of the windows tightly sealed.
A hose from the exhaust pipe.
To God we kneeled.
The car doesn't start,
That problem saves our lives.
We thank the Lord,
As mom's insanity dives.
Over the years,
Mom gets strung out.
Dad decides to get clean,
Because he wants the better rout.
It takes mom years,
Before she changes her life.
For my dad it seemed easy,
But for my mom it was strife.
Now it's years later,
And my life is filled with joy.
I have many siblings,
Four of are girls and two are boys.
My father re-married,
My mother is still searching,
For that special man has not come
And she hopes dad is returning.
Although dad is happy,
And I like my step-mother,
I want my mommy happy
And I hope she finds another!
